The City of Laurie maintains two beautiful parks comprised of over 50 acres. The Hillbilly Fairgrounds has 27 acres filled with oak trees providing inviting shade during the summer for the public to enjoy while using park facilities. The gazebo and little beer garden offer beautiful settings for weddings and concerts.
Children have a great time in the spacious playground filled with fun, including swings, a tree house, slides and more. The quarter-mile walking trail has two new bridges over the creek, one of which is a covered bridge. The park also has 14 horseshoe pits, three stages, three pavilions, numerous picnic tables, a soccer field, snack bar and three restroom facilities.
The ballpark sits on 28 acres and is surrounded by an oak forest. Currently it hosts a youth t-ball league for ages 4-6. The park also has hosted tournaments from around the area. In addition to the lighted ball field, the park has a pavilion, snack bar, playground and restroom facilities.
