     We are proud to announce the 28th Annual Laurie Hillbilly BBQ Cook-Off that takes place on August 6th and August 7th this year! It is located at the Laurie Hillbilly Fairgrounds, 269 Fairgrounds Rd., Laurie, MO. 65037, which sits about halfway between Camdenton and Versailles, Missouri. We hope you will join us for two fun-filled days! If you have never been to our cook-off, you are missing out on what we think is one of the most beautiful fairgrounds in Missouri. The entry fee includes camping on Friday and Saturday nights. If you would like to come in earlier, please let us know when you will be arriving so we can arrange to have someone there to help you find your assigned location. We also have secure areas where you may leave your smokers and other equipment if you choose to stay longer to enjoy our beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. If you participated in the 2019 Laurie Hillbilly BBQ and would like to get your same spot back as last year, please return your entry from by July 24th, 2020. 
     Cash prizes totaling $6775.00 will be awarded to the winners.
The Grand Champion will win $1000.00 cash and a trophy, Reserve will win $750.00 and a trophy, 1st Reserve will win $500.00 and a trophy. Pay out and Ribbons awarded to 1st thru 10th place. We will raffle off a Free Entry into the 2021 Contest. Raffle tickets can be purchased anytime Friday or Saturday before the Award Ceremony.
You may sell your BBQ to the public on Friday night July 31st. If you would like to sell to the public please let us know. You will be responsible to contact Morgan County Health Center for a Food Vendor permit 573-378-5438.
     The Kid’s Q contest will have 2 age groups, 5-10 and 11-15 years of age. Meat will be supplied to the cooks for the Kid’s Q. Watchers will be at your cook site by 9:15 A.M. with turn in at 10:00 A.M. Adult turn in will begin at 12:00 P.M. for the first (Chicken) category following the KCBS turn in schedule. Awards and Ceremony for prizes is scheduled to start at 4:00PM (sooner if possible)
     Our contest is sanctioned by KCBS, and the representatives are Ed & Donna Young. ALL KCBS rules apply. The winner of this contest will be invited to go to the American Royal and will be entered in the Jack Daniels contest lotto.
