LAURIE CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Laurie is home to numerous organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life of all residents. Below is a list of many of the organizations and contact information for the specific groups. 

Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary Club
The Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary Club meets at noon every Thursday in the convention center room at Osage River Bar and Grill in Laurie. The meeting immediately follows lunch. Westlake Aquatic Center
The Westlake Aquatic Center in Laurie offers wellness times from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Water aerobics is offered Monday through Sat­urday. The Westlake Aquatic Center is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Aquatic Center at 573-374-7370.

TOPS
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets weekly, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. each Wednesday at Laurie Bank in the lower level. The bank is located at the junction of Route O and Highway 5, Laurie. Weigh in is from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Call for information at 573-873-5576 or 573-374-9262.

Millstone Wheelers
The Millstone Wheelers square dances are held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. the first and third Sundays of the month, excluding holidays at the Laurie Bank, Pre-rounds begin at 6 p.m. There are guest callers with Steve and Barb Skorupan as cuers. Osage Community Elks Lodge # 2705
Regular meetings for local #2705 and visiting Elks are held at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Mondays of each month.
Most Friday evenings the Elks host a dinner for members and their guests. Din­ner starts at 5 p.m. and reservations are required. For additional information or to make a reservation, call 573-374-4781 before noon on Friday.

Ozark Lakers
Square & Round Dance Club The Ozark Lakers dance from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bank of Versailles-Laurie Branch the second and fourth Sunday of every month except holidays. For more information, call 573-374­4182.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus Council #10381 Mary Mother of the Church in Lau­rie meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Shrine of St. Patrick. For more information, call the shrine at 573-374-7855.

Laurie 5-0 Crime Watch
The Laurie 5-0 Crime Watch general meeting is held at 6:30 p.m. the third Tues­day of every month at the Gravois Fire Protection District main station on "O" Road. Each meeting has a potluck dinner and an area speaker. Board Patrols meet at 9 a.m. the first Thursday of each month at Laurie City Hall. W.M.U.
The Women Missionaries Union Women of the First Baptist Church in Laurie meet at 5 p.m. the third Thursday of each month to study mission work, pray for missionaries and do projects that assist mission ministries. For more information, call 573-374­7073.

Lady Elks
The Lady Elks of the Osage Com­munity Elks Lodge #2705 meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of the month at the lodge on Route O in Laurie. For more information, call 573-374-­4781.

Laurie Flotilla 30-02
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Laurie Flotilla 30-02 meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Thursday of every month in the lower level board room at Central Bank, Laurie Branch. Call 573-873-3844 for more information.

The Westlake Cancer Support Group
The Westlake Cancer Support Group meets at 4 p.m. the fourth Monday of every month at Westlake Christian Church on Route O in Laurie. Everyone welcome. For more information, call Gerri Beard at 573-372-6043.

Healing School
