I am a college student living in Laurie. I am currently working on a paper for a cultural diversity class about the diversity in my community. I was wondering if you might have any comments on the subject.

Ken;
I am sorry that I did not catch this in time for the garage sale for you. However if you proceed down highway 5 to Laurie thru the stop light, it is about two blocks to Anna Drive which is marked with banners for whatever event is transpiring then. A right turn on the blacktop road and about three blocks and you are there. your desire for directions is notede and we will get a map on the web site for amenities such as swimming pool, fairgrounds, ball aprk, cinema, golf course and etc. Thank you for your comment.

I read that Laurie is pursuing high speed internet for the area. Do you have any idea when this will be available. I live in Indian Rock Golf Course and would like to be kept up to date on progress. Thanks

We are having a public hearing tonight before the regular city meeting to discuss the contract we are pursuing with 5X. If all is acceptable we will be accepting that contract and will start construction in 30 days. First in Laurie on Hwy 5 using the water tower as our antenna access point and then at the golf course as phase two. Will not have an exact time line at this time but should in 30 to 45 days. Thank you for your interest. Humbly Mayor Chuck
